Red Bull - Inventing a new sport July 2003 "This is whole new concept," says the production team in charge of kicking off a new sport that combines flat track, motor cross and super cross racing. We would like to have the FlyCam follow as much of the action as possible. It creates a "birds-eye" view of the motorcycles as they are traveling anywhere between 25-75 mph below you and next to you. The FlyCam rigging team went to work developing a set-up and safety plan of how to track the subjects for maximum coverage of the race. The end result was exactly what the director asked for and FlyCam was a success. He wanted a smooth, yet difficult, "look" when following the subject. It really has to work with the music and the shakiness of the on board and helmet cams. It's a very cool production.
